Guam Micronesia Island Fair

The Guam Micronesia Island Fair (GMIF) is an annual three-day celebration of cultural diversity in Micronesia and the Western Pacific. For the past 30 years, GMIF has been the region’s largest annual gathering for artists, performers, and cultural practitioners from Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Marshall Islands, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Yap, and other Pacific islands to share and celebrate their unique cultures and traditions. The three-day event draws tens of thousands in attendance.

GMIF is a fantastic way to see and experience all of the exciting aspects of Chamorro culture from traditional woodcarving, weaving, cultural dance and chanting to contemporary painting, handmade jewelry, local fashion, live music, cuisine, and more. GMIF is a Guam Visitors Bureau signature event.

Guam Art Exhibit

The Guam Art Exhibit, better known as GAX, is a collective art show that highlights Guam’s diverse range of local artists and styles. Since 2008, GAX has provided a forum for unknown, emerging, and established artists and has worked to encourage and develop the island’s talent pool and local art community by providing an environment where artists are free to create without limitations. The community fostered by GAX is comprised of artists from varied disciplines including commercial artists, painters, illustrators, graffiti artists, sculptors, musicians, and tattoo artists.

Guam International Film Festival

Every year, the Guam International Film Festival (GIFF) bridges the cinematic gap between Guam and the rest of the world and brings together one of the most diverse groups of nationalities and ethnic communities ever to converge in one arena. GIFF showcases independent films from the Pacific Asia region and beyond, striving to capture the passion and spirit of independent filmmakers. GIFF is a once-a-year opportunity for movie fans to enjoy a carefully crafted lineup of local and regional films that is not available anywhere else.
